Rica Jewels Rosewood Mala Bracelet & Giveaway (US, ends 2/28)

I love finding artwork that reveals a story, theme, or heritage. I recently had the pleasure of discovering Rica Jewels. Their jewelry is beyond beautiful! Rica Jewels specializes in elegant, cultural jewelry. They carry bracelets, earrings, necklaces, pendants, and rings.

Biak Earrings
Just from their website photos alone, anyone can see that these pieces are quality. The craft looks sturdy, the style is boho-chic, and the designs are versatile and fun! The company even travels to meet their silversmith partners used to make the jewelry. Rica Jewels' shop can be browsed by item category or through their three collections: Nusa, Turkish, and Himalaya.

Rica Jewels' collections illuminate much culture. Owners and partners, Daniela and Priscila, lauched their website in the Fall of 2014. However, Rica Jewels had been in creation long before that. Growing up, Daniela had many fashion and jewelry industry influences in her life. She also had the unique opportunity to travel across the USA and the world, to learn about gemstones and worldly cultures. The two ladies met and formed Rica Jewels, designing "pieces that people will enjoy forever."

Rica Jewels' "love and beauty of gemstones and jewelry," really shines through in their pieces. I was lucky enough to receive an item from their Himalaya Collection. I received this beautiful Rosewood Mala Bracelet. I love the purple and brown hues in the beads. Against the red string, they give it a fun, earthy feel. The beads are fit tightly and do not distractingly move along the string. My absolute favorite feature (aside from the beauty), is the wrist fitting function: the knotted tie is ingenious! Tightening and loosening the bracelet was incredibly easy, and it was made so that a slight tug on the ends sufficed.

Pink Mouse Boutique + Giveaway (WW, ends 2/11)

Crochet Boy in Giraffe Outfit
I came across Pink Mouse Boutique on Etsy.com and I absolutely HAD to learn about it and share it! The shop appearance alone is so elegant and adorable! Pink Mouse Boutique specializes in tiny crochet objects, such as dolls, ornaments, baskets, decor, jewelry, gifts and more.

I am filled with excitement while browsing through the shop's items. I'm not sure what I like best: the lively inanimate items - the possible story I envision each character having - the fact that they are handmade - or that they are just so darn small and cute!

Originally from Bulgaria, owner and maker, Diana Moore, started crocheting after her daughter was born. She started making clothes, and soon moved onto teeny items that really peaked her interest. Diana opened Pink Mouse Boutique in July 2014. Her first item was a bit of an accident. She
explains, "I was actually trying to make a miniature hat but then I thought that it looked more like a head so I decided to make a doll. And that's how the idea for the shop was born."

Crochet Pig Basket
Interestingly, the shop's name comes from the owner's daughter's pink mouse shoes. Diana gets her inspiration from her loving daughter. "She's always excited to see my new creations and she loves everything I make for her."

The boutique's creations certainly are unique. The dolls are called "Malka," which mean 'small' in Bulgarian. "Their hair is sewn one piece of thread at a time and after finished you can put their hair on ponytail, braid it, or whatever else you'd like to do. It's flexible and it will not fall." Diana prides herself on having one of a kind items.

Pink Mouse Boutique does amazing work while providing a "special place where people will find teeny trinkets that will make them happy." Find more from the shop on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Blogspot. Plus, if you share the link of their shop and message the owner, you'll receive a 10% off coupon!
